Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 8, 2026
Short version. Multi Currency Converter does not require an account, has no analytics, no advertising SDKs, no third-party trackers, and no usage telemetry. Nothing about you is gathered in the background. The one time information about you reaches us is when you deliberately write and send a support message from Settings → Help & feedback, and you decide what goes in it. The App works offline once exchange rates are cached. The longer version below explains the technical exceptions.
1. Who We Are
The Multi Currency Converter app (the "App") and the website at www.multicurrencyconverter.com (the "Website") are provided by Exystems, LLC, a limited liability company registered in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States. For privacy questions, contact support@multicurrencyconverter.com.
For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Exystems, LLC is the data controller for any limited processing described in this policy.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- No personal information gathered in the background. The App never collects your name, email, phone number, address, date of birth, government identifiers, or any other personally identifiable information on its own initiative. The one exception is a support message you choose to write and send, where name and email are optional fields you fill in yourself — see § 6.
- No accounts. The App has no sign-up, sign-in, or user accounts.
- No analytics or telemetry. The App contains no analytics SDKs (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Amplitude, Mixpanel, etc.), no crash-reporting SDKs, and no usage tracking.
- No advertising. The App contains no ads, no ad SDKs, and no advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android).
- No device fingerprinting. We do not collect device IDs, hardware identifiers, MAC addresses, or other fingerprinting signals.
- No location. The App does not request or use GPS or any location services. (See § 4 for a note on time-zone usage, which is unrelated.)
- No contacts, photos, or microphone access. The App does not request these permissions.
3. The Few Network Requests the App Makes
The App periodically fetches exchange-rate data so conversions reflect current values. These are the only servers the App contacts directly:
- Our rate proxy:
api.multicurrencyconverter.com— operated by Exystems, LLC. Hosts cached exchange rates, refreshed approximately hourly from public providers. Requests contain no user data: just a standard HTTPS GET for the latest rates or a date range. Server access logs may incidentally record your IP address, request path, and timestamp for security and abuse-prevention purposes; these logs are retained for up to thirty (30) days and are never linked to individual identity, advertising profiles, or any external service. - Fallback CDN:
cdn.jsdelivr.net— when our proxy is unreachable, the App falls back to a public, free currency-rates CDN (the@fawazahmed0/currency-apiproject on jsDelivr). jsDelivr is a third-party CDN with its own privacy policy; like any HTTPS request, it sees your IP address. We do not control jsDelivr's logs. - Our support intake:
www.exystems.com/api/feedback/v1— operated by Exystems, LLC and shared across our apps. The App contacts it only at the moment you tap Send on a support message, never in the background and never on launch. What it receives is listed in § 6. - Platform stores (Apple App Store, Google Play) — when you purchase Pro or restore a purchase, the App talks to Apple's StoreKit or Google Play Billing. Those transactions are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy. We never see, store, or process your payment details. We only receive a boolean entitlement signal: "this device has Pro" or "this device does not."
The App makes no other outbound requests. There are no analytics pings, no automatic error-reporting beacons, no advertising calls. Errors are never transmitted on their own; they travel only inside a support message you send yourself.
4. What Stays on Your Device
- Settings and preferences (theme, layout, displayed currencies, language, button styles, etc.) — stored in the device's local preferences storage (
SharedPreferenceson Android,NSUserDefaultson iOS). - Cached exchange rates — stored locally and used so the App works offline and to avoid unnecessary network traffic.
- Chart history cache — historical rate data the App fetches when you open a chart, stored locally so subsequent views are instant.
- Error log — when something goes wrong, the App records a brief technical entry on your device. It is not transmitted anywhere on its own. It leaves your device only as part of a support message you choose to send (§ 6), and the send screen lets you read exactly what would be attached before you send it.
- Time zone (optional, opt-in feature) — the App's "Travel mode" feature reads your device's IANA time zone (e.g.
Europe/Berlin) to suggest a local currency when you arrive in a new region. This uses the operating system's time-zone API only — never GPS, never network. The time zone is processed on-device and not transmitted anywhere. You can disable this feature in Settings.
5. In-App Purchases
The App offers a one-time optional "Pro" upgrade. Payment is processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive your name, email, billing address, card number, or any other payment information from these transactions. We only receive an entitlement flag indicating the purchase was successful, which is stored locally on your device. Restoration of a previous purchase to the same Apple ID / Google account works without any account on our end.
6. Contacting Support
Settings → Help & feedback lets you send us a message from inside the App. Nothing here happens automatically: the App contacts our support intake only when you have written a message and tapped Send.
What you choose to provide.
- Your message and the topic you picked (bug report, feature request, purchase question, and so on). Required — there is nothing to send without them.
- Your name and email address — optional. Both fields may be left blank and the message still sends. They exist so we can reply; without an email address we have no way to reach you, and the App says so before you send. If you do provide them, they are stored on your device so you do not have to retype them next time.
What is attached automatically. A short technical block, so that a bug report is actionable without a round of questions: app version and build number, operating system and version, your language and number-format settings, the selected theme, and whether Pro is active. If the App has recorded any recent errors, that on-device error log is attached too. None of this identifies you — there is no device identifier, no advertising ID, no account, and no location. The send screen has a "View" button that shows you the exact contents before you send, and you can simply not send if you would rather not share it.
Where it goes. The message is delivered to our support inbox by Resend, our transactional email provider, and a copy is posted to a private Telegram channel that only Exystems, LLC staff can read, so that support requests are not missed. Both copies include your name and email address if you supplied them. Neither provider is permitted to use your message for their own purposes, and it is never used for marketing, profiling, or advertising.
The intake is served by Cloudflare and applies a per-IP rate limit to prevent abuse; that limiting processes your IP address transiently and does not store it against your message.
7. The Website
www.multicurrencyconverter.com is served through Cloudflare for performance and security (DDoS protection, bot mitigation). Cloudflare may set strictly necessary cookies and process IP-level metadata as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. The Website itself uses no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, and no third-party fonts loaded from external CDNs. We do not set any first-party cookies.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, lease, trade, or share user data with third parties for any purpose, and we never disclose it for money or for anything of value. The only third parties that ever handle your data are the service providers technically necessary to run the App, all named above: the platform stores (§ 5), our rate proxy and the jsDelivr fallback (§ 3), Cloudflare, and — for a support message you choose to send — Resend and Telegram (§ 6). Each processes your data only to deliver the function described, on our instructions.
9. International Users — Your GDPR / UK GDPR Rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights regarding any personal data Exystems, LLC processes about you (which, as described above, is limited to incidental server-log IP addresses and to whatever you put in a support message you send us):
- Right of access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Right of rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — ask us to delete your data.
- Right to restriction of processing — ask us to pause processing.
- Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
- Right to lodge a complaint — with your local data protection authority (a list of EU authorities is at edpb.europa.eu; the UK authority is the ICO).
Legal basis for processing. Where we briefly process IP addresses in server logs, the legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating, securing, and protecting the App's infrastructure from abuse. Where you send us a support message, the legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)) in answering people who ask us for help, acting on information you supplied to us voluntarily for exactly that purpose. No personal data is processed for marketing, profiling, or automated decision-making.
International transfers. Our infrastructure (Cloudflare, jsDelivr) operates globally and may route requests through data centers outside the EEA / UK, and a support message you send is handled by Resend and Telegram, which likewise operate internationally. Where such transfers occur, they rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards published by the respective providers.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@multicurrencyconverter.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days.
10. California Residents — CCPA / CPRA Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, gives you the rights below. The App collects almost nothing, so for most users these rights have little to attach to — but stating them explicitly is required:
- Categories of personal information collected: Identifiers — a name and email address, and only when you type them into a support message yourself (§ 6); these fields are optional and may be left blank. Internet or network activity — IP addresses incidental to HTTP requests against the Website, rate proxy and support intake, retained ≤30 days for security purposes. Nothing else. We collect no sensitive personal information, no geolocation, no biometric data, and no commercial or browsing histories.
- Categories disclosed for a business purpose: the contents of a support message you send, disclosed to Resend and Telegram solely to deliver it to us (§ 6).
- Categories sold or shared: none. We do not sell, share, or otherwise monetize personal information.
- Right to know — request what personal information we have about you (for most users, none).
- Right to delete — request deletion. Server logs older than 30 days roll off automatically; write to us and we will delete any support correspondence you have sent.
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to non-discrimination — exercising these rights will not affect your access to the App.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect any.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@multicurrencyconverter.com.
11. Children's Privacy
The App is a general-purpose utility suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We do not directly target children under 13 (United States) or under 16 (European Union, UK), and the App's design — no accounts, no chat, no social features, no advertising — means personal information does not reach us through ordinary use. The one route by which it could is the support form (§ 6), which anyone can type into. If we learn that a child has sent us their name or email address that way, we delete the message. Parents or guardians who believe this has happened may write to support@multicurrencyconverter.com and we will delete it.
12. Data Retention
We retain server access logs for a maximum of thirty (30) days, after which they are automatically deleted. Support correspondence is kept for as long as needed to resolve your request and to recognise a recurring problem, and no longer than twenty-four (24) months, after which it is deleted from our inbox and from the Telegram channel; you can ask us to delete yours sooner and we will. On-device data (settings, cached rates, error log, and the name and email you last typed into the support form) lives on your device for as long as the App is installed; you can clear it at any time via Settings → Data → Clear all saved data, or by uninstalling the App.
13. Security
All network communication between the App and our servers, including the support intake, uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption. We follow industry-standard practices to protect the limited server infrastructure we operate. Because the App has no accounts, no passwords and no user database, the only personal data on our side is whatever people have chosen to put in support messages — a small mailbox, not a data store.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes that meaningfully affect your rights will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least thirty (30) days. Continued use of the App after the effective date of an updated version constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you disagree with a change, you may stop using the App.
